Food Stamp Identification Handbook
The guide, headed Republic Food Stamp Authenticity Handbook, for telling genuine Food Stamps from forgeries.
As part of the Republic's very generous welfare initiative, Food Stamps are routinely distributed among the most needy in the Lower Levels. These can be used to buy essential items in stores backed by the Republic. Be warned, however: counterfeit Food Stamps are not unusual in the Lower Levels.
Look for spelling errors, obvious misaligned text. Differences in color, font or missing lettering are also common in forgeries.
Incorrect if logo missing.
If the Food Stamp has a printed value of 160 Credits or higher, it will have a security seal. Food Stamps under 160 Credits will not have a security seal.
All Food Stamps contain a chip. If the chip is missing or damaged, the Food Stamp is unusable, even if it is genuine.
Stamp Value
Food Stamps are only issued with values of 40, 80, 120, 160, 200 and 240 Credits.
