What Is Sha-Chi?Sha-Chi is the foundation of all martial arts. It is born from the countless bonds and grudges, loves and hatreds, joys and angers of human life. From a butcher slaughtering a pig to masters crossing blades, any strike made with the intent to overcome an opponent will inevitably carry Sha-Chi. The stronger the resolve to overcome and defeat an opponent, the purer the Sha-Chi and the greater the power of the technique. True masters can control Sha-Chi within a delicate balance, rather than allowing it to control them and cloud their judgment.
TranscensionTranscension involves implanting a Sha-Chi generating device into the body, along with a degree of physical modification. This allows artificial Sha-Chi to flow endlessly through the user's organs and meridians, filling the body in quantities far beyond what an ordinary martial artist could achieve. The greater the user's mastery of martial arts and the deeper their experience, the more power they can draw out through Transcension. But Sha-Chi gained in this way gradually erodes the user's mind, eventually reducing the user to a mindless killing machine.
Engine ArtEngine Art is the practice of using combustible fuel in place of Sha-Chi to power mechanisms, gears, and other mechanical constructs. Many Engine Art masters travel the Wulin relying on their masterful craftsmanship and ingenious mechanical designs, proving every bit as formidable as the finest martial artists.
Primal Stone Records: Perfect Transcension... Devices crafted from Primal Stone: fewer than 20% showed reduced Sha-Chi fluctuations. Preliminary internal consumption trials showed initial results. The proportion showing reduced Sha-Chi fluctuations rose to 50%. Further observation required.

Notes on the Heart MeridianThe heart is the root of life. Transcension is a masterful combination of Martial, Esoteric, and Engine Arts. The Sha-Chi can be guided through the organs and meridians, far exceeding the amount of Sha-Chi an average master can maintain. However, if the heart itself were replaced with an exquisite Sha-Chi device, if such a device could be the source of Qi and blood, would that not mean it could both produce an infinite supply of Sha-Chi, and also extend a person's lifespan?
