Overview
Veilwyn is a small carnivorous shoulder pet with a unique passive taming mechanic. It can clone itself when threatened, making stealth essential for claiming. Once tamed, it evolves into either a Solwyn for defense or a Malwyn for aggression, serving as a specialized companion.
It can be airlifted by Argentavis or Karkinos for fast deployment.

More about taming the Veilwyn
To tame a Veilwyn, crouch and sneak up on it (Ghillie Armor helps). When close enough, a claim prompt appears, interact to claim it. If spotted, it clones itself and you must wait for the clones to despawn. Once claimed, evolve it into a Solwyn (defensive, using Pristine Vulpite) or Malwyn (aggressive, using Corrupted Vulpite).
Veilwyn is tamed through a special passive method. Crouch and sneak close to it - Ghillie Armor helps avoid detection. If spotted, it creates clones that must despawn before another attempt. Interact when the claim prompt appears to tame it instantly. No narcotics are needed. Use the calculator below for your settings.

Veilwyn has a strong weakness to Instant HurtDinos, taking +120% more damage. It is also highly vulnerable to spike walls, suffering +100% damage. Melee attacks with metal weapons deal +55% damage, making them effective. Avoid using Mining Drill Harvest, which deals no damage.
