ARK 支援多種指令類型："Summon" 會在你的準心位置生成一個隨機等級的生物，"SpawnDino" 讓你可以設定座標和等級，而 "GMSummon" 則會生成一個強制馴服的生物。GMSummon 是立即獲得馴服 劍齒虎 最方便的方式。在 PC 上按 Tab 鍵，或在主機上透過暫停選單來開啟管理員控制台。需要管理員權限。
在ARK中隨處可見，劍齒虎是ARK: Survival Ascended中可馴服的肉食生物。它屬於Misc分類。
其基礎耐力為200，屬於平均水準。劍齒虎 的基礎近戰傷害為 100%，擁有不錯的攻擊力。基礎血量為250，劍齒虎相對較脆弱。負重起始為200，提供合理的背包空間。
馴服劍齒虎需要先讓它失去意識 - 使用麻醉箭、麻醉飛鏢或電擊麻醉飛鏢來施加麻醉值。最有效的馴服食物是 普通飼料，每餵一次能提供最高的親和力。
馴服後，劍齒虎 因其採集效率而受到重視，採集關鍵資源的速度比大多數工具還快。繁殖方式為胎生而非產卵，過程較為簡單。在野外擊敗一隻可獲得 5 點基礎經驗值。它可以在克隆室以 0.48 元素加上每等級 0.01 元素進行克隆。
