ARK 支援多種指令類型："Summon" 會在你的準心位置生成一個隨機等級的生物，"SpawnDino" 讓你可以設定座標和等級，而 "GMSummon" 則會生成一個強制馴服的生物。如果你想直接騎乘 獸頭獸，GMSummon 是最佳選擇。在 PC 上按 Tab 鍵，或在主機上透過暫停選單來開啟管理員控制台。需要管理員權限。

獸頭獸基礎生命值為275，相對較脆弱。近戰傷害起始為 100%，相當不錯，且會隨著等級提升而增加。其基礎耐力為 300，提供了不錯的持續力。基礎負重400，背包空間頗大。
馴服 獸頭獸 很簡單：用足夠的昏迷值把它打暈，然後在它的背包裡放食物。最有效的馴服食物是 普通飼料，每餵一次能提供最高的親和力。
馴服後，獸頭獸 可以幫助你採集資源，讓種田變得更快。它會經過懷孕期後直接產下活體，讓繁殖變得簡單。擊殺野生的 獸頭獸 可獲得 6 點基礎經驗值。它可以在克隆室以 0.32 元素加上每等級 0.01 元素進行克隆。
