0.1.3 - Patch - June 6, 2026
New
- Paralives x Unpacking collab: play Unpacking on in-game computers, collect Unpacking stamps, decorate with Unpacking plushies and objects
- Eat as a group: every Para now grabs and eats a portion during group meals
- Teen romance: teenagers can flirt and enter romantic relationships with other teenagers
- Accessibility option for the speed at which view-blocking items fade out (photosensitivity)
Fix highlights
- Save-system improvements to reduce corrupted save files
- Fixed the bug that made water consumption inflate bills
- Children and pre-teen voices are audible again
- Using the telescope now levels the Astronomy skill
- Townie requests auto-fail if the townie passes away
- Fire no longer spreads into areas Parafolk can't reach, so it can always be extinguished
- Smoke detectors now correctly summon firefighters (and only a sensible number of them)
- More than 50 Steam Workshop mods can be loaded again
- Many more interactions now raise the Fun need (hopscotch, sandcastles, social media, reading, TV...)
- Imperial units display proper feet-and-inches (5'11" instead of 5.98 ft)
Known issues
- Rare corrupted save files: back up saves by duplicating them; paralives.com/news/fix-save-files can help
- Crashes and freezes still being optimized; check minimum system requirements

Fix highlights
- Memory-leak fix to reduce crashes
- Fire: Parafolk can autonomously extinguish burning items instead of always panicking; flames no longer spread off-lot; stairs can't ignite anymore
- Chinese text input works in the Paramaker and all text fields
- Personality leveling no longer spirals into infinite notifications
- Items no longer duplicate when changing swatches
- Parafolk no longer refuse vending-machine snacks when starving or long chairs when exhausted
- Embarrassment from sleeping or using the toilet 'outside' disabled (it fired indoors by mistake)
- Pathfinding optimization to reduce townie lag spikes; initial loading up to 20% faster
Known issues
- Advanced build-mode widget can lose item positions after reload; use with caution
- Stuck Parafolk: use the Unstuck button in the ESC menu
- Stubborn fires: the ExtinguishAllFires cheat is the official workaround
- Some Mac users have trouble with clicks/camera; a mouse helps

How often does Paralives get updates?
Since the Early Access launch on May 25, 2026, Paralives Studio has shipped a patch roughly every week: 0.1.2 four days after launch, the 0.1.2b hotfix, and 0.1.3 the following week. Larger roadmap features (weather, pets, pools) come in bigger updates during Early Access.
Are Paralives saves compatible between versions?
Updates so far have not invalidated save files, and 0.1.2/0.1.3 specifically improved the save system to reduce corruption. The developers recommend backing up saves by duplicating them in the Load Game menu before updating.
