Mod description
A storyteller focused on the classic rags to riches story, with a few surprises thrown in to spice things up.
The goal of this mod is not to drastically change up gameplay, but to provide a sort of Vanilla+ experience that is a bit more challenging and doesn't butt heads with any other storytellers or the core games default balance.
Storyteller configurations are about the same as Ricardo, however:
- Starting funds are set to 0
- job performance threshold for strikes is set to 25, so its a bit harsher
To make gameplay a bit more unique, Ann comes with some custom card packs that appear along side the normal cards.
Since I don't want to mess with the starting tutorial hand you get on the first night, Ann also provides a unique life goals card called "Humble beginnings" which prompts you to purchase your first lot, the reward for completing this goal is a starter bed.

There is no good rules out there for a rags to riches challenge I have found, so treat this as more just a start from $0 challenge. It's a much harder start, but once you're established it should be the same as playing the game normally
A known issue is when starting a game with a household loaded from the library, you will not start with 0 funds. a temporary workaround is to open the cheat menu with 'control + shift + c' and type " SETMONEY 0 "
Ann is also not compatible with modded cardpacks, they should still work like normal on the standard storytellers though. Ann uses a custom set of cards she draws from as to not modify the vanilla story tellers in any way, however, this means cards added to the normal pool of cards via mods won't affect the cards Ann can recieve when she is your selected story teller.
