Instead of laying eggs, the Yeti carries its young through a gestation period. Gestation takes approximately 6 hours and 40 minutes at default rates.
The baby Yeti takes approximately 3 days and 5 hours to fully mature at default rates - over an extremely long period, one of the longest in the game. During the baby phase (0–10%), hand-feed it directly. From 10% onward (juvenile), it can eat from a Feeding Trough.
Mutations can add +2 levels to any stat and change colors. Stacking mutations across generations is the key to min-maxed breeding lines. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
Raising a baby Yeti involves three maturation phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~463 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~31h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~39h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Don't skip imprinting - each successful imprint boosts the Yeti's stats, and hitting 100% grants a 30% combat bonus when the imprinter rides it. Imprint requests include cuddling, walks, and specific kibble - check the wiki for which kibble to stockpile.
Planning a mass raise? The Yeti raising calculator breaks down food needs per phase so nothing goes to waste. Expect ~463 minutes of active care during the Baby phase before it graduates to trough-feeding as a Juvenile.
Adjust the dino count to calculate food for multiple Yeti babies at once - essential for batch breeding operations. Match your food choice to your play schedule - longer spoil timers mean less babysitting.
Found throughout the ARKs, the Yeti is a herbivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It falls within the Variant classification.
At 2,000 base HP, the Yeti is a proper tank. With 100% base Melee Damage, the Yeti has respectable melee power. Its base Stamina of 300 gives it decent staying power. Weight capacity starts at 220, giving it modest carrying capacity.
The Yeti cannot be tamed and must be dealt with through combat or avoidance. Breeding is via live birth rather than eggs, simplifying the process. A wild Yeti is worth 20 base experience when killed. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.35 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
