Baby: The hatched dinosaur, now a baby, needs constant attention and food placed directly in its inventory to survive, or a nearby Maewing to take care of its needs.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.
More about breeding the Moschops
Breeding the Moschops produces fertilized eggs that require careful temperature control. Incubation temperature must stay between 16°C and 20°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 2 hours and 37 minutes.
After hatching or birth, the baby Moschops matures slowly, reaching adulthood in about 2 days at 1x maturation. The most labor-intensive part is the baby phase (0–10% maturation) when it can't use a Feeding Trough yet.
Offspring inherit parental stats and have a small chance to mutate, gaining +2 levels in a random stat. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
The Moschops's growth progresses through three stages: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~292 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~19h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~24h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Imprinting during maturation provides permanent stat bonuses. At 100% imprint, the Moschops gains 30% bonus damage and resistance when ridden by the imprinter. Keep various kibble types on hand, as imprint requests are randomized between cuddles, walks, and kibble feeding.
Use the raising calculator to plan food requirements for raising Moschops babies through all three growth stages. The Baby phase (0–10%) takes ~292 minutes and is the most hands-on, requiring direct feeding or a Maewing.
The multiplier feature helps plan large-scale Moschops raises by totaling food across all babies. Consider food spoilage when choosing what to feed: Kibble lasts days, while Raw Meat spoils in minutes.
ARK: Survival Ascended features the Moschops as a tamable, omnivore creature that survivors will encounter in the wild. It falls within the Farmer classification.
Its base Stamina of 300 gives it average stamina. Its base Melee Damage sits at 100%, giving it respectable melee power. The Moschops has 375 base Health - decently sturdy. It carries 200 base Weight - average weight tolerance.
As a tame, the Moschops is valued for its harvesting efficiency, collecting key resources faster than most tools. Breeding produces fertilized eggs that hatch within a 16°C–20°C temperature window. Killing a wild Moschops yields 6 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.5 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
