CreatureVariant

Aberrant Gigantopithecus is a rare herbivore variant found in cave zones. It passively tames and reduces the weight of gathered resources in its inventory, making it ideal for efficient resource farming. It can be airlifted by Argentavis, Karkinos, Quetzal, or Tusoteuthis for rapid deployment across the map.
This dino excels at harvesting plant-based resources and carrying large loads with reduced weight burden. Its compact size allows it to be carried by large flying and aquatic creatures, enabling fast, long-distance transport without losing inventory efficiency.

Taming is done passively by feeding it. The best food is Regular Kibble, which grants the highest affinity. Mejoberry also works well for faster taming. Use a Chain Bola or trap it with a Bear Trap, Large Bear Trap, or Plant Species Y to immobilize it safely. The tame takes about 9 Regular Kibble and 2 minutes.
