The Polar Bear gives live birth after mating, skipping the egg-incubation step entirely. Gestation takes approximately 4 hours at default rates.
The baby Polar Bear takes approximately 1 day and 22 hours to fully mature at default rates - slowly. The most labor-intensive part is the baby phase (0–10% maturation) when it can't use a Feeding Trough yet.
Each baby inherits stats from both parents with a chance of mutation - +2 wild levels to a random stat plus a color change. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
The Polar Bear's growth progresses through three stages: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~278 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~19h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~23h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Imprint bonuses are significant: a fully imprinted Polar Bear gains 30% extra damage and damage resistance with its imprinter mounted. Imprint requests include cuddling, walks, and specific kibble - check the wiki for which kibble to stockpile.
The raising calculator above shows exactly how much food you need for each maturation phase of the Polar Bear. Expect ~278 minutes of active care during the Baby phase before it graduates to trough-feeding as a Juvenile.
The multiplier feature helps plan large-scale Polar Bear raises by totaling food across all babies. Different food types have different spoil timers - factor that into which food you stockpile.
The Polar Bear is an omnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended.
Stamina sits at 500 base, providing solid stamina reserves. Melee starts at 100% - solid damage output that scales with level-ups. Health-wise, the Polar Bear sits at 800 base, making it solidly tanky. Weight capacity starts at 650, giving it excellent carrying capacity.
The Polar Bear roams the ARK as a wild, untamable creature. It gives live birth after a gestation period, making breeding straightforward. Killing a wild Polar Bear yields 4 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.66 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
