Breeding produces live offspring - no egg management needed. Gestation takes approximately 4 hours and 10 minutes at default rates.
Full maturation from baby to adult takes ~2 days (1x rate), progressing over a lengthy period. During the baby phase (0–10%), hand-feed it directly. From 10% onward (juvenile), it can eat from a Feeding Trough.
Offspring inherit parental stats and have a small chance to mutate, gaining +2 levels in a random stat. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
Raising a baby Aberrant Purlovia involves three maturation phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~292 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~19h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~24h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Don't skip imprinting - each successful imprint boosts the Aberrant Purlovia's stats, and hitting 100% grants a 30% combat bonus when the imprinter rides it. Imprint requests include cuddling, walks, and specific kibble - check the wiki for which kibble to stockpile.

You'll need to knock the Aberrant Purlovia unconscious before taming it. Tranquilizers are the standard approach. Regular Kibble is the most effective food for taming, offering the highest affinity per feeding.
As a tame, the Aberrant Purlovia can serve multiple roles depending on how you level its stats after taming. Breeding is via live birth rather than eggs, simplifying the process. A wild Aberrant Purlovia is worth 6 base experience when killed. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.32 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
