- Puppets
Puppets in the likeness of village elders, their heads wreathed in an eerie green glow. At the sight of someone, they tear off their heads and smash them against the ground. Moments later, the heads burst, spreading a vast cloud of poison.
At first, the elders staunchly opposed turning the ancestral hall into a temple to the Lady. Anyone who suggested it was denounced for betraying the ancestors.
As wooden puppets filled the village, their objections grew quieter. They even began wearing the red flowers bestowed by the Herald before they went to sleep.
