The Sky-Thunder Sect's gunpowder was already devastating, yet some disciples still found it lacking and mixed poison into it to make it even deadlier. Over time, the poison took its toll. Those most severely afflicted developed green skin and festering sores across their bodies.
Desperate for a cure, they combined Transcension with poison, using the "bombs" on their backs to store both toxic gas and Sha-Chi. In the end, they only turned themselves into yet another of the Sky-Thunder Sect's "new weapons."
