Breeding produces live offspring - no egg management needed. Gestation takes approximately 8 hours at default rates.
Full maturation from baby to adult takes ~3 days and 10 hours (1x rate), progressing over an extremely long period, one of the longest in the game. During the baby phase (0–10%), hand-feed it directly. From 10% onward (juvenile), it can eat from a Feeding Trough.
Offspring inherit parental stats and have a small chance to mutate, gaining +2 levels in a random stat. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
Raising a baby X-Dunkleosteus involves three maturation phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~494 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~33h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~41h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Don't skip imprinting - each successful imprint boosts the X-Dunkleosteus's stats, and hitting 100% grants a 30% combat bonus when the imprinter rides it. Imprint requests include cuddling, walks, and specific kibble - check the wiki for which kibble to stockpile.

You'll need to knock the X-Dunkleosteus unconscious before taming it. Tranquilizers are the standard approach. Superior Kibble is the most effective food for taming, offering the highest affinity per feeding.
As a tame, the X-Dunkleosteus is well-suited for deep-sea exploration, cave diving, and ocean resource runs. Breeding is via live birth rather than eggs, simplifying the process. Defeating one in the wild grants 12 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.43 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
