Use the generator below to create admin commands for spawning the Rex in ARK: Survival Ascended. Multiple variants are available - use the selector to pick the version you want.
Choose between Summon for quick spawns, SpawnDino for precise placement, or GMSummon for instant tamed creatures. GMSummon is the most convenient for getting a tamed Rex immediately. Open the admin console with Tab (PC) or through the pause menu on console. Admin privileges are required.
Found throughout the ARKs, the Rex is a tamable, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended.
With 1,100 base Health, the Rex is quite durable. With 100% base Melee Damage, the Rex has solid damage output. Stamina sits at 420 base, providing solid stamina reserves. Weight capacity starts at 500, giving it massive inventory space.
Taming the Rex requires rendering it unconscious first - use Tranq Arrows, Darts, or Shocking Tranq Darts to apply torpor. Feed it Exceptional Kibble for the fastest tame and highest effectiveness bonus.
After taming, the Rex fills a general-purpose role, adaptable to whatever your tribe currently needs. It reproduces by laying eggs, which must be incubated between 32°C and 34°C. Defeating one in the wild grants 30 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.87 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
