ARK: Survival Ascended features the Abyssal Procoptodon as a tamable, herbivore creature that survivors will encounter in the wild. Classified under the Variant group.
Its base Melee Damage sits at 100%, giving it decent hitting power. Health-wise, the Abyssal Procoptodon sits at 400 base, making it reasonably durable. Its base Stamina of 350 gives it solid stamina reserves. A base Weight of 550 means an enormous weight pool.
To tame the Abyssal Procoptodon, you need to knock it unconscious using torpor weapons, then feed it while it's down. Rare Mushroom is the most effective food for taming, offering the highest affinity per feeding.
After taming, the Abyssal Procoptodon has the carrying capacity to serve as a reliable transport mount for heavy loads. It gives live birth after a gestation period, making breeding straightforward. Killing a wild Abyssal Procoptodon yields 2 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.31 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
