When Contagion and Surcharge are on cooldown spam Mino to quickly recharge them (thanks to the Cast Away joker). When casting Mino it's generally best to use it like a frag grenade that just happens to be a mine (trust me it's a lot better as a grenade than a mine though still not bad). Finally, use Quad Cylinder almost strictly against weak points to rack up those juicy, juicy bells and deal good damage.+1

How it plays

Playbook

Corrosion at scale. Contagion hits every enemy in a wide zone at once and applies the Contagious status, which turns each affected target into a small bomb when they die. Against dense waves, the chain of death explosions does more work than the initial spell.

Strategy

Cast it into the middle of a pack and let the Contagious debuff multiply your damage. Clean up the weakened enemies fast to trigger as many explosions as possible before the debuff expires. Surcharge or Fireball into a Contagion-marked group is one of the more efficient burst windows in the game.

Wide zone means it reliably hits multiple enemies per cast
Contagious death explosions scale with group size
Excellent synergy with burst spells from other schools

Weaknesses

Long cooldown requires careful timing
Death explosions require actually killing the debuffed targets
