Instead of laying eggs, the Daeodon carries its young through a gestation period. Gestation takes approximately 8 hours at default rates.
After hatching or birth, the baby Daeodon matures slowly, reaching adulthood in about 2 days at 1x maturation. Hand-feeding is required until 10% maturation. After that, a Feeding Trough handles the rest.

To tame the Daeodon, you need to knock it unconscious using torpor weapons, then feed it while it's down. Feed it Superior Kibble for the fastest tame and highest effectiveness bonus.
Once tamed, the Daeodon is valued for its harvesting efficiency, collecting key resources faster than most tools. It gives live birth after a gestation period, making breeding straightforward.
