Breeding produces live offspring - no egg management needed. Gestation takes approximately 8 hours at default rates.
After hatching or birth, the baby X-Mosasaurus matures at a glacially slow pace - plan for a multi-day commitment, reaching adulthood in about 7 days and 17 hours at 1x maturation. The most labor-intensive part is the baby phase (0–10% maturation) when it can't use a Feeding Trough yet.
Offspring inherit parental stats and have a small chance to mutate, gaining +2 levels in a random stat. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
The X-Mosasaurus's growth progresses through three stages: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~1111 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~74h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~93h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Imprint bonuses are significant: a fully imprinted X-Mosasaurus gains 30% extra damage and damage resistance with its imprinter mounted. Imprint requests include cuddling, walks, and specific kibble - check the wiki for which kibble to stockpile.

Its base Stamina of 400 gives it solid stamina reserves. Melee starts at 100% - respectable melee power that scales with level-ups. With 3,600 base Health, the X-Mosasaurus is an absolute bullet sponge. A base Weight of 1300 means excellent carrying capacity.
The X-Mosasaurus is a knockout tame: apply enough torpor to knock it out, then place food in its inventory. Exceptional Kibble is the most effective food for taming, offering the highest affinity per feeding.
As a tame, the X-Mosasaurus provides safe and efficient underwater traversal with good utility. It gives live birth after a gestation period, making breeding straightforward. Defeating one in the wild grants 15 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.88 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
