The Raptor reproduces by laying fertilized eggs after mating. Incubation temperature must stay between 20°C and 28°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 1 hour and 59 minutes.
Full maturation from baby to adult takes ~1 day and 13 hours (1x rate), progressing over a lengthy period. During the baby phase (0–10%), hand-feed it directly. From 10% onward (juvenile), it can eat from a Feeding Trough.
Offspring inherit parental stats and have a small chance to mutate, gaining +2 levels in a random stat. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.
Raising a baby Raptor involves three maturation phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~222 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~15h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~19h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.
Don't skip imprinting - each successful imprint boosts the Raptor's stats, and hitting 100% grants a 30% combat bonus when the imprinter rides it. Imprint requests include cuddling, walks, and specific kibble - check the wiki for which kibble to stockpile.
Use the raising calculator to plan food requirements for raising Raptor babies through all three growth stages. Budget ~222 minutes for the Baby phase - this is when hand-feeding or Maewing nursing is mandatory.
Adjust the dino count to calculate food for multiple Raptor babies at once - essential for batch breeding operations. Consider food spoilage when choosing what to feed: Kibble lasts days, while Raw Meat spoils in minutes.

The Raptor has 200 base Health - not particularly tanky. Melee starts at 100% - solid damage output that scales with level-ups. With 150 base Stamina, the Raptor has decent staying power. It carries 140 base Weight - modest carrying capacity.
The Raptor is a knockout tame: apply enough torpor to knock it out, then place food in its inventory. Feed it Simple Kibble for the fastest tame and highest effectiveness bonus.
After taming, the Raptor can serve multiple roles depending on how you level its stats after taming. Breeding produces fertilized eggs that hatch within a 20°C–28°C temperature window. Defeating one in the wild grants 3 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.23 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
