ARK: Survival Ascended features the VR Karkinos as a tamable, carnivore creature that survivors will encounter in the wild. Classified under the Variant group.
Its base Stamina of 1000 gives it massive stamina reserves. Its base Melee Damage sits at 100%, giving it decent hitting power. At 160 base HP, the VR Karkinos is not particularly tanky. A base Weight of 100 means modest carrying capacity.
To tame the VR Karkinos, you need to knock it unconscious using torpor weapons, then feed it while it's down. Exceptional Kibble is the most effective food for taming, offering the highest affinity per feeding.
After taming, the VR Karkinos fills a general-purpose role, adaptable to whatever your tribe currently needs. Killing a wild VR Karkinos yields 6 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.5 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
