The Pteranodon is a tamable, flying, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. Classified under the Flyer group. With 150 base Stamina, the Pteranodon has decent staying power. Melee starts at 100% - respectable melee power that scales with level-ups. At 210 base HP, the Pteranodon is relatively fragile. Weight capacity starts at 120, giving it average weight tolerance. The Pteranodon is a knockout tame: apply enough torpor to knock it out, then place food in its inventory. Regular Kibble is the most effective food for taming, offering the highest affinity per feeding. As a tame, the Pteranodon is commonly used for scouting and quick travel between locations. Breeding produces fertilized eggs that hatch within a 29°C–32°C temperature window. Defeating one in the wild grants 3 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.79 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
