During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.

More about breeding the Kroaratos

The Kroaratos gives live birth after mating, skipping the egg-incubation step entirely. Gestation takes approximately 7 hours and 56 minutes at default rates.

Full maturation from baby to adult takes ~3 days and 10 hours (1x rate), progressing at a glacially slow pace - plan for a multi-day commitment. Hand-feeding is required until 10% maturation. After that, a Feeding Trough handles the rest.

Each baby inherits stats from both parents with a chance of mutation - +2 wild levels to a random stat plus a color change. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.

Raising a baby Kroaratos involves three maturation phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~494 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~33h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~41h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.

Don't skip imprinting - each successful imprint boosts the Kroaratos's stats, and hitting 100% grants a 30% combat bonus when the imprinter rides it. Imprint requests include cuddling, walks, and specific kibble - check the wiki for which kibble to stockpile.

The raising calculator above shows exactly how much food you need for each maturation phase of the Kroaratos. Budget ~494 minutes for the Baby phase - this is when hand-feeding or Maewing nursing is mandatory.

Raising multiple Kroaratos simultaneously? Set the dino count and the calculator scales food requirements automatically. Different food types have different spoil timers - factor that into which food you stockpile.

The Kroaratos is a boss creature in ARK: Survival Ascended that must be fought in a dedicated arena. It falls within the Boss classification.

Its base Melee Damage sits at 100%, giving it respectable melee power. The Kroaratos has 500,000 base Health - an absolute bullet sponge. Its base Stamina of 400 gives it respectable staying power. Weight capacity starts at 500, giving it an enormous weight pool.

As a tame, the Kroaratos guards its arena fiercely - come prepared with your best creatures and gear. It gives live birth after a gestation period, making breeding straightforward. Killing a wild Kroaratos yields 5000 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.26 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
