Cerberax
Taming method

Three head trials, then feeding

Requires Fantastic Tames Season 1. All three heads must complete their trials before Cerberax can be knocked out for inventory feeding. The active head is chosen at random.

  1. 1
Stun and mount the active head

Use tranquilizer arrows or darts until Cerberax slumps and offers a head to mount. Approach that head and use the mounting prompt before it recovers.

  2. 2
    Blue head: balance

Use your left and right movement inputs to keep the marker in the moving target zone until the trial completes.

  3. 3
    Green head: feed on cue

Put suitable taming food in your last hotbar slot. Follow the feeding prompt during its biting animation. Extraordinary Kibble is its preferred food; bring extra for this trial.

  4. 4
    Red head: hunt

Ride it to the marked prey and kill those targets to fill the trial's progress bar.

  5. 5
Repeat, then feed in its inventory

After each trial, wait until Cerberax can gain torpor again and stun it for another head. Once all three are complete, use tranquilizers again to make it unconscious and place taming food in its inventory.

The food counts, feeding time and effectiveness below cover the final feeding stage only. They exclude the head trials and their food. A normal knockout shot count does not model the repeated stun stages.

More about taming the Cerberax

Use the calculator results to plan your tame - they show the exact time, food quantity, and bonus levels for the Cerberax based on your settings.

Use the knockout chart to see exactly how many Tranq Arrows, Darts, or other torpor weapons it takes to down the Cerberax. Space your shots to let torpor accumulate - rapid firing risks killing it before knockout.

To simplify the knockout, immobilize the Cerberax first with Chain Bola or Bear Trap. A Tusoteuthis can also pick it up and drop it into a taming pen for a controlled knockout.

Below are the narcotic requirements for keeping the Cerberax sedated throughout taming. Narcotics provide 40 Torpor each and are the standard choice. Bio Toxin offers 80 Torpor but is harder to farm. Narcoberries at 7.5 each are a last resort. The Cerberax bleeds 0.73 Torpor/s, so keep a close eye on the bar and sedate early.

Track the taming process with the timers below - they monitor both Torpor and starvation progress. Torpor monitoring prevents premature wakeups. The starve timer is for the starve-tame method - let Food drop, then load all kibble at once to avoid waste.

Cerberax is a three-headed carnivore from Fantastic Tames. Its heads apply fire, venom and Dominion effects. A rider can switch between heads, while passengers can control the other heads.
