Baby: The hatched dinosaur, now a baby, needs constant attention and food placed directly in its inventory to survive, or a nearby Maewing to take care of its needs.

At birth, baby holds ~40 food - refill every ~1 min

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.

More about breeding the Brute X-Rex

Breeding the Brute X-Rex produces fertilized eggs that require careful temperature control. Incubation temperature must stay between 32°C and 34°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 4 hours and 59 minutes.

After hatching or birth, the baby Brute X-Rex matures at a glacially slow pace - plan for a multi-day commitment, reaching adulthood in about 3 days and 20 hours at 1x maturation. The most labor-intensive part is the baby phase (0–10% maturation) when it can't use a Feeding Trough yet.

Offspring inherit parental stats and have a small chance to mutate, gaining +2 levels in a random stat. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.

Maturation has three phases: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~556 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~37h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~46h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.

Don't skip imprinting - each successful imprint boosts the Brute X-Rex's stats, and hitting 100% grants a 30% combat bonus when the imprinter rides it. Keep various kibble types on hand, as imprint requests are randomized between cuddles, walks, and kibble feeding.

Use the raising calculator to plan food requirements for raising Brute X-Rex babies through all three growth stages. The Baby phase (0–10%) takes ~556 minutes and is the most hands-on, requiring direct feeding or a Maewing.

The multiplier feature helps plan large-scale Brute X-Rex raises by totaling food across all babies. Consider food spoilage when choosing what to feed: Kibble lasts days, while Raw Meat spoils in minutes.

The Brute X-Rex is a carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended.

Stamina sits at 630 base, providing exceptional endurance. Melee starts at 100% - decent hitting power that scales with level-ups. Health-wise, the Brute X-Rex sits at 3,950 base, making it an absolute bullet sponge. A base Weight of 850 means excellent carrying capacity.

The Brute X-Rex is a wild creature that cannot be tamed through conventional methods. Breeding produces fertilized eggs that hatch within a 32°C–34°C temperature window. Killing a wild Brute X-Rex yields 60 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.87 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
