Bloodstalker

There is no tranquilizing and no hand-feeding for the Bloodstalker - stock up on Blood Packs and let it ensnare you. Expect 57% effectiveness on a plain Blood Pack tame. Feeding the Bloodstalker your own creatures while it has them web-grabbed is the only way to push it toward 100%. Do not damage it while taming, and note that the Blood Pack count scales with the creature's own hidden melee stat - two of the same level can differ by 50% or more.

About 15 minutes at level 150.

Only kills it makes while web-grabbing them count. Each victim with 1,500+ health gives the full bonus, and 4 of them reach 100%.

Its melee damage

Stolen health per Blood Pack is fixed, so more melee means more Blood Packs. It stays hidden until the tame finishes, so bring extra.

How this tame works

  1. Do not damage it. Removing 20% of its health drops effectiveness back to the worst value.
  2. Progress survives 12:00 between grabs, then resets.

More about taming the Bloodstalker

Use the results to plan the tame: Blood Pack count, drain time, and final level. Only web-grabbed kills raise effectiveness; no amount of extra Blood Packs will.

The Bloodstalker is a tamable, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. Classified under the Climber group.

Its base Stamina of 600 gives it outstanding staying power. Melee starts at 100% - solid damage output that scales with level-ups. Health-wise, the Bloodstalker sits at 450 base, making it reasonably durable. Weight capacity starts at 350, giving it a solid weight pool.

This is a passive tame: no tranquilizers needed. Get close without startling it, then offer food from your last hotbar slot. Its preferred food is Blood Pack.

As a tame, the Bloodstalker earns its keep through resource gathering, making tedious farming runs much faster. Breeding produces fertilized eggs that hatch within a 27°C–30°C temperature window. Defeating one in the wild grants 1 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.35 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
