Finishing the quest

VadimWell, well... Look who it is. ... Didn't think you'd make it this far in one piece. Been well?
YouRemember me? It's been a while.
VadimYou're looking better than last time. Looks like you've been keeping yourself fed.
YouWhat brings you here?
VadimCollecting a debt. Heard a fellow who borrowed my seed money vanished into this neck of the woods.
YouYou came all this way over a debt?
VadimCan't let a single unpaid debt slide. That's how you end up out of business. ...Though, truth be told, I can live without the money. I just wanted to see him for myself. As long as he's doing all right, that's enough for me. Enough about me. What's brought you all the way out here?
YouI'm looking for someone. / I'd rather not say.
Vadim... I see. I won't pry. Everyone's carrying something. Once I'm done here, I'll be on my way too. There's always another fool who's gone off the map.
YouI hope we'll meet again.
VadimOh, don't get all sentimental on me. I've seen the face I came to see. That's enough for me. Take care of yourself.

Journal

I ran into Vadim at Jubilant Village. He looked me over and said I seemed to be doing surprisingly well...but then he went quiet. That brief pause has been bothering me ever since.
