The Hawthorne Household

The Hawthorne Family

From the outside, the Hawthornes are everything a small town admires. Claire is a bestselling mystery author searching for inspiration after years of success. Ethan is the dependable carpenter everyone knows by name. Their daughter Poppy seems to have inherited her mother’s brilliance, while young Oliver is the cheerful heart of the family.

Life should be perfect.

So why does Claire spend more time watching the house next door than writing her next novel? Why does Poppy keep looking at her mother as if she’s waiting for something? And why does the new neighbour seem to know things he shouldn’t?

Some stories begin with a murder.

This one begins with a family
