Main Objective

Craft a Gas Bomb

750 XP

How it worksActivate the projector, watch the sequence it shows, then insert the correct ingredients into the factory in the same order. There are 5 distinct ingredients to choose from. Each round adds another item to the sequence; inserting a wrong one resets the sequence. Finish enough rounds to craft the gas bomb.

“Aww, you remembered the pattern! Go and play with your friends now!”- Cryptic Overseer

Main Objective

Craft an Overloaded TNT

750 XP

How it worksRestore power to the factory, then shoot the spinning propeller during the 0.5 second timing window each time it comes around. Hitting the window keeps the charge refining; missing it stops the factory and you have to power it back up. After enough good shots the Overloaded TNT is finished, and you carry it to the boss spawner.

In-game objectives

› Shoot at the factory propeller to refine
› You need an Overloaded TNT
› Overloaded TNT
› Refining Overloaded TNT...
› Restore factory power
› Starting TNT Factory...
› Factory’s out of power!

“Try not to blow yourself up with that TNT. I’ve got much better failures lined up for you.”- Cryptic Overseer

Main Objective

Destroy a Cryptic Totem

750 XP

This will start an infinite wave. You will have to kill {amount} enemies

How it worksThe kill counter shown in-game is per wave, and a Totem run has 2 waves (Conjure the Totem, then Destroy it). The per-wave quota scales with both party size and difficulty: solo on Normal is 37 per wave (74 total), solo on Easy is 25 per wave (50 total), a full party of 4 on Nightmare is 180 per wave (360 total).

In-game objectives

› Kill {amount} enemies
› Conjure Totem
› Destroy the Totem - 2/2
› Conjure the Totem - 1/2
› Destroy the Totem, once and for all

Per-wave kill quota

Players ↓ / Diff →	I	II	III	IV	V
1P	25	37	50	62	75
2P	35	52	70	87	105
3P	50	75	100	125	150
4P	60	90	120	150	180

“Ah, touching the ominous glowing totem. Your survival instincts are truly nonexistent.”- Cryptic Overseer

Main Objective

Escort a Payload

750 XP

How it worksThe wagon does not move until you pull every starting lever in the correct order. Pulling a wrong one stalls the sequence for 0.2 seconds before you can try again. Once the levers are set, the wagon rolls itself to the goal; you just have to stay near it and clear out any enemies that get in front of or below it. Detonate the payload at the end to summon the boss.

In-game objectives

› Escort the payload
› Detonate Payload
› Pull all levers in the correct order

“I hope that payload has premium insurance, because your incompetence is classified as a natural disaster.”- Cryptic Overseer

Main Objective

Fire a Laser Cannon

750 XP

How it worksThe longest objective in the game, with the most sub-steps. You activate the engine, find the firing code, localize the target, press the correct lit buttons, enable the emergency lights, and initiate the firing sequence. While charging, the cannon leaks pressure and you have to plug the leaks by rotating valves. The cannon itself takes no damage, so failure is always a missed sub-step or a lost pressure check.

In-game objectives

› Activate engine
› BLUE CIRCLE
› CALCULATE
› Keep the pressure from leaking
› Colored buttons
› EMERGENCY LIGHTS
› Enable emergency lights
› Enable control center
› Enable lights
› Enable lights before anything!
› Find the code
› GREEN TRIANGLE
› Initiate firing sequence
› LASER CANNON:
› Localize the target
› Losing pressure! Fix the leak!
› Orient cannon to target
› PRESS BUTTON COLOR
› Press the correct buttons
› RED SQUARE
› Repair leak {current}/{max}
› STATUS:
› STEPS FINISHED
› TO DO LIST:
› WAITING FOR STEP:

“Imagine your gravestone: "Here lies a great hero. Died fixing a rusty pipe." Tragic.”- Cryptic Overseer

Main Objective

Fire the Nitro Cannon

750 XP

How it worksPress the lit buttons to activate the cannon, then load 3 nitro charges. Each charge has to be extracted from a nitro factory that spawns away from the cannon, and each factory takes 30 seconds of channeling to fill. Once all 3 charges are loaded, the cannon heats up and fires.

In-game objectives

› Activate cannon
› Fill with Nitro
› Heating up the cannon...
› Load with Nitro {current}/{max}
› Load with Nitro
› You need Nitroglycerin
› Nitroglycerin
› Nitro factory
› Press the green buttons
› Stabilizing Nitroglycerin...
› Stay close to the Nitro factory!

Main Objective

Launch a Nuclear Missile

750 XP

How it worksThe dynamite count and the lever timing window both scale with party size, not difficulty. Solo runs only need 3 sticks of dynamite and have 13 seconds to flip every lever; a full party of 4 has to load 9 sticks but only gets 4 seconds. More hands, tighter coordination.

In-game objectives

› Stuff with {amount} dynamites
› You need dynamite
› Engine ignition
› Open nose
› Pull all the levers in time

“Of course you’re firing up the nuke. Why fail small when you can fail spectacularly?”- Cryptic Overseer

Main Objective

Protect a Drill Machine

750 XP

How it worksTwo phases. First the drill grinds into the ground while you hold off the wave around it. After it is planted, gauges pop up that you have to keep balanced by spinning their valves. Pressing the big red boss-spawner button finishes the objective. The drill itself takes no damage, so the only way to fail is to let the gauges drift out of range.

In-game objectives

› Activate the drill
› Big red button
› Drill Boss Spawner
› The pressure is not stabilized!
› Reveal gauges
› Open Drill nose
› Pressure is unstable!
› Use the valves to stabilize the pressure

“Digging your own grave? What a time-saver, I love your efficiency!”- Cryptic Overseer

Run economy

Uranium and lighthouses

Uranium is the in-mission currency. Anything you buy during a run costs Uranium rather than Gold, including jokers from the Wandering Trader and copies or refines at the machines. Whatever you have left when the run ends converts into XP for your hero and your weapons, so there is no reason to bank it.

Where Uranium comes from

Break a joker by hitting it with your fists. Rarer jokers give more, and jokers you dropped give none
Kill an Elite enemy
Complete a secondary objective
Complete a quest
Complete a secret
Complete a lighthouse
Clear a Uranium objective, such as digging up everything a Uranium Detector locates
Flying balloons

A lighthouse spawns in every mission and is marked on your mini-map. Climb to the top, finish the minigame at the summit, and the map is revealed along with the unique locations that rolled on it, so you can see whether the run has a Copy Press or a Refiner before you go looking.

Rewards

XP bonus per region

Every main objective pays 750 XP base. The region bonus is added on top, and the total still scales with difficulty and player count.

Region	XP bonus
Area 41	+150
Canyon	+150
Woodlands	+150
Hellfire	+150
Far West	0
Desert	0
Far Far North	0
Jungle	0
Saloon	0

Far Far West main objectives

Far Far West features 8 contract main objectives that define each run. Every contract randomly rolls one of these as the run anchor. The full sequence: complete the objective, pick up the key it drops, walk it to the Boss Spawner, insert the key to summon the boss (the boss varies per run), kill the boss, loot the weapon blueprint fragment it drops, then extract.

The base XP reward is 750 per main objective, with a flat per-region bonus on top (table below). The displayed leaderboard XP also scales with difficulty and side-objective clears, so two runs of the same mission rarely award the same total. Side activities (Camps, the Cryptic Sigil, the Antenna quest step, and Saloon mini-games like Darts and the Gold Magnet) are not on this list. Those fire as side objectives or quest beats around the main one.
