Quest giver

DemedGives this quest

Demed has asked you to collect bone fragments. Hunt and butcher crocodiles or alligator turtles along the shore to gather them.

Taking the quest

DemedCome warm yourself by the fire. No charge for the seat.
YouAnything unusual happening around here?
DemedLooking for something special? I might have just the thing in my bag—
YouI'm not here to buy anything. I'm a pioneer.
DemedYou aren't? Oh, not a customer, then? Should've said so earlier. I've actually got a favor to ask. Lately, mercenaries have been really into trinkets made from alligator bones. And as you've probably noticed, this area's swarming with alligators or alligator turtles.
YouDo you need bones from those creatures?
DemedClever, aren't you? How about hunting a few and bringing me some bone chips?
YouSure.
DemedGood. Take a hunting knife from the box next to me. And try not to get yourself killed.

During the quest

Drillmaster KarsanteThis is a restricted area. What's your business here?
YouWhat is this place?
Drillmaster KarsanteGuards train here, and sometimes even the Eznan Royal Army does, too. These days, everyone's busy, so the training grounds are empty most of the time.
YouUnderstood.
Drillmaster KarsanteIf you've got time, stretch your legs in there. Doesn't look like the idiots in this watchtower plan on training anytime soon, so feel free to use the place.

Finishing the quest

DemedYou made it back! Well? Did you get 'em?
YouI brought some bones.
DemedNot in the best shape, but they'll still sell. Good job. Here's your reward.
